JSC Insurance company «Krona» (previous  name was «Kyiv-Energo-Policy»)
was created on the  9 th of March 2000
The founders of the company  were: AC «KyivEnergo», «NPF «KyivEnergo»,  «Energobank»
On 10.10.06. the insurance company had changed its name for the new one IC «Krona»
On the moment of creation Statutory fund was 2 250 thousand grn.

From the moment of creation of the collective of insurance company, which counted then only four specialists, actively began activity at the market of Kiev and already at the first year 230,8 thousands grn. of insurance bonuses were collected and 7,3 thousands grn. of insurance compensation were paid. The insurance briefcase of company mainly consisted of property insurance and obligatory types of insurance.

From the beginning of 2001 the insurance company began active acting in the medical insurance and the first insured were 16 000 workers of AK of «Kievenergo» which are permanent clients today.

In 2001 at the first time of all history of insurance company the statutory fund was increased to 3 937 grn.

In January, 2002, the own round-the-clock consultative-controller’s center has begun its work, where highly skilled doctors-coordinators and specialists in insurance sphere are working now.

The Company grew actively and confidently, promoting quality of insurance services and already in 2002 on joint-stock meeting was accepted decision about the increase of a Statutory fund to 5500 thousand grn.

In the end of 2003, after the next increasing the Statutory fund of company was 13 400 thousands grn. This year company also became a member of MTSBU and one of founders of the Nuclear insurance pool. These events also coincided with the claim of strategic plan of development on the nearest 5 years, in which one of basic tasks was approaching of the insurance services to the client, for what were accepted the decisions concerning of creation of the ramified branch and agent scale.

In the beginning of 2004 the first branches were created in Odessa, Zaporozhia and Rivne.

In the beginning of 2005 the company has increased its briefcase with aviation insurance, invited in its collective the specialists with large experience in this type of insurance.

In April 2005 two branches began their work in Lugansk and Izmail. In the end of 2005 was created the branch in Kherson.

In 2007 were originated the branches in Lviv, Simferopol and Kharkov, also was opened representative in Luzk and Zitomir.

To the end of the first quarter of 2008 is planned the opening of the branches in all regional centers of Ukraine.

On the 10 th of August 2007 on meeting of IC «Krona» shareholders’ is considering question about the next increasing of Statutory fund to 33 509 740, 50 grn. by the reinvestment of dividends.
